Ahead Tinapa TRADE EXPO 2008, Imoke receives Authority Flag 13/5/08

Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State has received the Tinapa Trade Expo 2008 Flag as a symbol of authority to host the event in the State.

Speaking during the presentation of the flag to the Governor by the Organizing Committee led by its Chairman and Managing Director, Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort Limited, Arc. Bassey Eyo Ndem recently in Calabar, Imoke who described the event as timely because it represents what Tinapa is all about contended that the greatest challenge to Tinapa now is how to make it realize its set goals and objectives.

He added that he will continuously draw the attention of the Federal Government and its relevant agencies to address the issue of regulatory legislations as well as other protocols posed by these agencies which had hindered the smooth take off of business activities in the zone.

Imoke commended the Organizing Committee for its vision which he noted would further show case Tinapa and its huge economic potentials to the outside world and restated his commitment to the success of the event.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Tinapa Trade Expo 2008 and Managing Director Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort Limited, Arc. Bassey Eyo Ndem said the event which is aimed at show casing Tinapa is billed for six days, commencing from Monday May 29 to June 7, 2008 in Calabar.

He appealed to the State Governor to direct all the 18 Local Government Areas in the State to fully participate in the expo which would serve as a veritable platform to show case every tradable products and services in their respective domain and solicited for full media coverage.
